Back to News TWO GOAL SECOND PERIOD STOPS HOA MARLBOROUGH MA, July 24, 2009 - Doug Burns scored at 10:49 of the first period from Casey Babineau but it was all the offence the HOA team could generate Friday night at the Eastern Hockey Showcase being played this weekend at the New England Sports Centre here.  The Bridgewater Black scored a pair of second period goals by Joe Budnick and Chad Goodwin to take the game 2-1.  HOA managed 25 shots on goal in the contest. Alex Scola stopped all 16 shots he faced in the HOA net in the first period while Jesse Cox stopped 10 of 12 in the second period to be tagged with the loss.  The Shawn Evans coached HOA squad will need to win both of their games Saturday to have a hope of making the playoff round Sunday. They face Apple Core at 9:30am and Valley A at 5:30pm.
