UPEI PANTHERS RECRUIT GOALTENDER FROM B.C.
Charlottetown, PEI, August 26, 2010 – The goaltender who led the Kelowna Rockets to a Western Hockey League (WHL) title and the championship game of the 2009 Memorial Cup will be studying at the University of Prince Edward Island this fall and playing for the Panthers men’s hockey team this fall.
 
VITARELLI RETURNING TO UPEI FOR FITH SEASON
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI, August 19, 2010 - The University of Prince Edward Island Panthers got some unexpected but welcomed news recently when forward Cory Vitarelli announced his intention to return for a rare fifth season with the men’s hockey program.
 
VARSITY REDS TO HEAD WEST TO START SEASON
FREDERICTON, NB, August 17, 2010 - The UNB Varsity Reds, host of the 2011 University Cup Championship, has announced the team's 2010-11 non-conference schedule which will consist of five home games and six road contests. The team will open the season by taking a trip west to Alberta for the first time since 1992.

MONCTON, NB, August 9, 2010 - Les Aigles Bleus de l'Universite de Moncton has added a defenceman and goaltender with the same last name for this season and a forward for next season. All will be at training camp in September and will regularly practice with the team.

UPEI PANTHERS LOSE GOALTENDER TO PROS
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI, August 5, 2010 - Goaltender Wayne Savage, the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers’ 2009-2010 team MVP, has decided to sign with the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League and will not be back with the university's men’s hockey program, the Guardian is reporting Thursday.

HALIFAX, NS, July 6, 2010 - Hopes of having Dalhousie University and Halifax follow University of New Brunswick and Fredericton's hosting of the 2011 and 2012 CIS Cavendish University Cup, men's hockey championship were short circuited this week when Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan were announced as the successful bidder.

MACPHERSON CONFIRMED AS PANTHERS COACH
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI, March 3, 2010 - Forbes MacPherson has been confirmed as the head coach of the UPEI Panthers men's hockey team. MacPherson has served as interim head coach since November 2009 after taking over from Dylan Taylor. Ron Annear, Director of Athletics at UPEI, made the announcement.

MONCTON, NB, February 18, 2010 – The first game of the Atlantic University Sport men's hockey quarterfinal series between the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus and the Saint Mary’s University Huskies scheduled for Wednesday was postponed because of road conditions. The series will now begin Friday night in Halifax.
 
XMEN TAKE FIRST BLOOD IN PLAYOFFS
CHARLOETTETOWN, PEI - February 17, 2010 - Home ice proved no advantage to the UPEI Panthers as they bowed to the St. FX Xmen 3-2 before a crowd of 1172 at the MacLauchlan Arena in Charlottetown, Wednesday evening. It was the first game of a best of three quarterfinals in AUS Hockey.
